Australia’s Crown (published in The Indian, Sydney, May11 Edition)

Till its bright, till one’s sight,
It’s all white, it’s all white.
Silver flakes have covered,
Or billion tonnes milk is poured,
From here, clouds look down;
Say it ‘Australia’s crown’.
Cloth of snow is spread
and Snowy is the run,
Rocks & plants have to wait,
Weeks, to see the sun,
Snowy mount wearing snow gown.
Say it ‘Australia’s crown’.
The horizon turns golden
In the morning Sun rays;
Snowy river flows singing;
And alpines on the way,
A place, like Angel’s town;
Say it ‘Australia’s crown’.

The God’s unique architect,
Beyond one’s belief;
Creature stepping here,
Surely gets relief;
Roof of Australia above Thredbo;
The Great  Mount Kosciouszko.
A Wonder place, nature has grown;
Say it ‘Australia’s crown.
